PolicyZoneIMF Private Limited

IRDAI Registered Insurance Marketing Firm · Chennai

Cover sized to the risk. Not to the premium budget.

PolicyZone assesses your actual exposure first — income, liabilities, assets, dependants, operations — and only then recommends cover, placed across a panel of insurers rather than sourced from one.

No obligation. A first conversation is an assessment, not a sales call.

Two ways cover goes wrong. Both are common.

Bought on price.

The premium was comfortable, so the sum insured was set to match it. The cover exists, it renews on time, and it is quietly too small for the event it was bought for. The shortfall only appears at claim stage, when nothing can be changed.

Bought from whoever asked.

A single-company agent recommended what a single company sells. The product may be sound; it simply was not measured against the alternatives, or against the risk it was meant to answer. Nobody compared. Nobody assessed. A form was filled.

PolicyZone was built to remove both failure modes from the process.

Four steps, in this order, every time.

The order matters more than any single step. Product selection is fourth for a reason.

  1. 01

    Understand

We map what you have and what depends on it. For a family: income, dependants, loans, existing policies, health history. For a business: assets, contracts, headcount, statutory obligations, the operations that would stop.

  2. 02

    Assess

We quantify exposure. What does a hospitalisation of this length actually cost? What is left owing if income stops for good? What does a fire at this location halt, and for how long? Numbers, not categories.

  3. 03

    Compare

We take the assessed requirement to our panel of insurers and compare on what matters at claim stage — wordings, exclusions, waiting periods, sub-limits, settlement record — alongside premium.

  4. 04

    Place and review

We place the cover, hand over documentation you can actually read, and revisit it when your circumstances change. Cover that was right three years ago is not automatically right today.

Individuals, families and the businesses they run.

Individuals & families
Income protection, health cover that holds through a serious admission, and long-horizon savings structured around real goals rather than a product cycle.
Salaried professionals
Cover that fills the gaps a corporate group policy leaves open — and stays with you when you change employers.
SMEs & growing businesses
Group benefits that help you retain people, plus asset, liability and project cover that a client or lender will actually accept.
Professionals & practices
Indemnity, premises and staff cover for practices where a single claim can outweigh a year of fees.

A new firm. Not new to the risk.

PolicyZone is a recent entrant, and we would rather say so than dress it up. What is not recent is the bench: our team has spent years placing and servicing both life and general insurance across insurers, products and claim outcomes. That combination — an unencumbered starting point and a long memory of what goes wrong — is the whole proposition.

Advisory, not distribution.
We are paid to place cover, but we are judged on whether it holds. Every recommendation is written down with the reasoning attached.
A panel, not a carrier.
Placing across multiple reputed insurers means the recommendation is shaped by your circumstances, not by what one company happens to sell.
Assessment before product.
No product name appears in a PolicyZone conversation until the exposure behind it has been sized.
Present at claim stage.
The measure of an adviser is what happens the week the claim is filed. That is where we stay involved.

A policy is a theory until it is claimed.

Most claim disputes are not disputes about cover. They are disputes about documentation, timelines and wording that nobody read at purchase. We do the reading at purchase, and we do the paperwork at claim: intimation, documentation, insurer liaison, follow-up until settlement. You should not have to learn claims procedure during the worst week of your year.

How we handle claims

Straight answers

What is an Insurance Marketing Firm, and how is it different from an agent?

An agent typically represents one insurance company. An Insurance Marketing Firm is registered with IRDAI to solicit and service products from a panel of insurers across life, general and health — which means the recommendation can be shaped by your requirement rather than by a single company’s catalogue.

Do I pay PolicyZone for advice?

No. You pay the premium set by the insurer. PolicyZone is remunerated by the insurer within limits prescribed by IRDAI. Our advice does not add to what you pay.

Will I get a cheaper premium through you?

Sometimes. Comparing across a panel usually helps on price. But the honest answer is that our job is to get the cover right — which occasionally means recommending a higher premium than you were expecting, and explaining exactly what the extra buys.

I already have policies. Is that a problem?

It is the most useful place to start. Bring them. A large part of a first review is finding what is duplicated, what has lapsed, and what has quietly become too small.

Do you handle business insurance as well as personal?

Yes — group health and personal accident, fire and asset cover, marine, contractors’ and project policies, and liability programmes. See Corporate & SME.

What happens when I need to claim?

Contact us before you contact anyone else. We handle intimation, tell you exactly which documents the insurer will ask for, liaise with them directly, and follow up until the claim is settled.

Where do you operate?

We are based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and work with clients across Anna Nagar.

Find out whether your cover would hold.

A risk review is a conversation and a document. You will leave it knowing what you are exposed to, what your existing policies actually cover, and where the gap is — whether or not you buy anything through us.
